All IU campuses offer some kind of Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). PLAs give students college credit through their prior non-academic experiences and training. PLAs may include external exams like CLEP or DSST, portfolio credit, or credit by credential. Additional examples of PLAs include military courses or certifications gained from past employment.
