Since 2014, the University Transfer Office has been developing a university-wide initiative to create alternate pathways for students who were denied admission. The purpose of this initiative is to provide you with essential academic support and advising, college preparation, transfer planning, and degree completion goals as part of the student’s entire educational journey through the Ivy Tech-IU pathway.

As a
- Satisfy academic requirements and initiate educational planning through the bachelor's degree map.
- Reach general education milestones or even earn your associate degree before you get to IU.
- Participate in multiple stages of support to meet personal and academic goals.
- Experience early college affiliation through intercampus resources, events, and activities.
At Ivy Tech, if you complete the Statewide Transfer General Education Core (STGEC) and/or earn your associate degree, some IU campuses offer incentives such as scholarships to aid your degree progress.
Each IU campus has its own pathway. If you would like more information on transferring to an IU campus that doesn’t yet have a guaranteed admission program, or if you are receiving conflicting information, please call the admissions office for your campus and ask about their requirements.
